Daniel Lanois had made an ambient album with Rocco Deluca entitled “Goodbye to language”.

The music was comprised of pedal steel guitars and ambient treatments.

Dan asked me if I would like to take the music and do whatever I wanted with it, so I added drums to it and made some arrangement edits.

Since there was no click track and the music was recorded freely I had to do quite a bit of editing.
